Keira Knightley has sparked rumours she’s found romance again after she was pictured arm-in-arm with a mystery man just weeks after her split from Rupert Friend. The actress’ five-year relationship with her “Pride & Prejudice” co-star came to an end by mutual agreement shortly before Christmas. But she’s now fuelled gossip about her love life by stepping out with an unidentified man in London. Knightley was photographed linking arms with the man as they strolled through the British capital’s Chinatown district after enjoying drinks at a cocktail bar.

Keira Knightley refuses to keep a TV in her house because she’s convinced she would become an addict if she had access to reality shows. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star prefers to read or sketch, and is even considering cutting off her internet connection to ensure she makes the most of her free time. She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, “Do you know what it is? It’s that I’m the laziest f**ker in the entire world. It’s true. And stagnation is always really, really imminent. “I can literally just sit and not do anything for hours and hours and hours and if there is something completely mind-numbing to do, like surfing the internet or watching cr**py TV, I’ll do it and then I’ll feel s**t about myself. So I try and get rid of it.” Knightley now counts TV as a guilty pleasure, and admits she is fascinated by U.K. ballroom dance competition “Strictly Come Dancing”. She adds, “A lot of my friends don’t have TVs either. It might be spreading. But what’s nice is that when I do see it, it’s such a treat. I did a photoshoot in Cornwall recently and a friend of mine was on the shoot and we literally just sat in my room watching “Strictly Come Dancing”. We were like, ‘This is amazing.’ We were talking about that for weeks afterwards.”

Keira Knightley is a nightmare party guest – the actress insists she is “paralysed with shyness” when chatting with strangers. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star admits she is hopeless at socialising since she began making movies as a young girl and missed out on spending time with people her own age. She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, “I had an amazing time (starring in films), it was extraordinary, but the difference was between my age and experience. I’d experienced a lot, work-wise, but as far as normal progression… I’d never sat in pubs with friends, I’d never been out clubbing. Any of the things you normally do at uni, I’d bypassed. So on one level I was very grown-up and on another level with the whole social thing, I was really far behind.” Now Knightley dreads attending parties – because she struggles to make conversation and ends up looking like an “ice queen”. She adds, “Going into a room full of people at a party I find one of the most terrifying things in the entire world. I normally last about 10 minutes. I’m a complete failure. I went to one the other day. Standing in the corner, couldn’t find anything to say, just ran out. Awful. My friends are like, ‘What are you – an idiot? What’s the matter with you?’ I just can’t. I get completely paralysed with shyness, just totally paralysed. “One of my friends was like, ‘You turn into an ice queen. What is it? You just turn into a b***h.’ And I don’t mean to look like a b***h, but I just don’t know what to say. This is the problem with a shy person being famous.”

Keira Knightley has declared live theatre more rewarding than moviemaking, likening performing on stage to “sex with an orgasm”. The actress is currently appearing in a production of “The Children’s Hour” in London, and insists the experience is more exhilarating than the drawn-out work that goes into films. She tells Britain’s Elle magazine, “Oh, God, the only thing that’s going through my head to describe it is it’s like sex with an orgasm at the end of it! Whereas film is like you have sex, but you never get the orgasm. A lot of stopping and starting… It’s the completion of the story, the full arc.” And Knightley reveals she opted to make her stage comeback – a year after making her debut in “The Misanthrope” in the British capital – so she could improve her craft. She adds, “I really noticed (in the Misanthrope) what I couldn’t do and what I failed at. I’m just not interested in standing still. You go, ‘OK, that was great and that bit was great – that’s, um, great.’ But if I’m not getting better, not learning, not changing, then what’s the point of it? It must be boring for people to watch it if it’s always the same… Not that I’m saying I made huge progress.”

Keira Knightley had a “great” time shooting the latest perfume advert for Chanel. The British actress – who is the face of the French fashion house’s Coco Mademoiselle fragrance – was initially very nervous about working with the brand, but has now relaxed after the first advert was well received. She told Stylist magazine: “It was great. We’ve just done another one and it’s brilliant. With the first one I think we were all a bit worried because we didn’t know if it was going to sell well and it was taking over this enormous thing. “It was quite frightening. But the latest one, because we went with the same team we had a really lovely time.” The 25-year-old beauty – who is well known for her glamorous red carpet looks – admits she only really enjoys promoting a project if she has to do it rarely, as she has a “scruffy style”. She said: “It’s always nice to have an occasion to wear a silly frock and get dolled up but I’m not really that sort of person. Style? I don’t have any. Well, I’m scruffy.”

Keira Knightley will star alongside Robert Pattinson in “Cosmopolis”. The British actress will play the 24-year-old star’s love interest in the David Cronenberg-directed film, based the Don DeLillo novel. The pair are expected to get up close and personal with each other in the film, which shows 24 hours in the life of a billionaire financier who squanders his fortune and his new wife. An insider said: “Keira will get to do a lot of smooching with Rob. Some of the scenes are going to be pretty steamy.” Marion Cotillard was originally lined up for the film’s single female role – but now Keira, 25, is on board. In the movie’s second big casting change after Irish star Colin Farrell backed out earlier this year. Director David has nothing but praise for his new leading lady. He said: “Keira is a brilliant actress. She blew everyone away. She’s a real heavy dude. She’s as good as anyone I’ve worked with. “You don’t realise it until you start to actually work with somebody.”

The “Never Let Me Go” star believes getting nude for a film role is not a big deal because everyone on set is often “respectful” and she always discusses what she is comfortable with beforehand. She said: It’s a consensual thing. You say what you’re comfortable with and everybody’s incredibly respectful.” However, the 25-year-old actress was not so comfortable with auditioning as a child because she believed everyone thought she was “s**t”. She told The Daily Telegraph newspaper: “Some kids did karate, I went to auditions. They were humiliating. You walk in a room and they obviously think you’re s**t. “So you walk again. I mean the rejection level of anyone who does anything like that. It is quite a savage process.”

The 25-year-old actress again teamed with her “Pride and Prejudice” co-star Carey Mulligan on their latest movie “Never Let Me Go” and her pal was delighted when she signed up for the film because they get along so well. Carey – who split from boyfriend Shia LaBeouf earlier this year- said: “I was so happy when she came on to the film. We met playing sisters and we are like family to each other, so that bond was there to recreate on the film. “Keira is the friend I call when I’m in trouble or suffering from a broken heart. She’ll meet me in the bar with a mojito and be there for me.” Carey also insisted her friend is not as reserved as she is perceived to be. She added: “She reserves herself for the people she cares about but when she comes to my birthday parties – and she’s never missed one since we met – she’s the first to get up and dance and the last to leave.”

Elisabeth Moss has revealed that she was pleased to work alongside Keira Knightley in a theatre production of Lillian Hellman’s play “The Children’s Hour”. The “Mad Men” actress described Knightley as “hot and very talented”, adding that they get on very well. She told E! Online: “I am doing a play in London called The Children’s Hour with Keira Knightley. She is lovely, lovely. I have lucked-out. She is wonderful. She is hot and very talented!” Moss also explained that the 25-year-old is completely down to earth. She added: “We totally do hang out when we are not working. We get along really swimmingly. She is amazing, she is just like a normal girl. She is very cool.”
